Luisa E. Taddeo

Luisa Taddeo is Of Counsel in the Seattle office of Betts Patterson Mines where she focuses her practice on insurance coverage litigation.  Ms. Taddeo has extensive experience in insurance coverage litigation and has represented insurers in coverage disputes related to first-party property claims and third-party liability claims.  She has also advised insurers on issues related to the duty to defend and the duty to indemnify, including defending insurers in litigation involving allegations of bad faith.  Ms. Taddeo has spoken at continuing education seminars and written articles related to her insurance coverage practice. 

Prior to joining Betts Patterson Mines, Ms. Taddeo was a senior associate for a premier Pacific Northwest law firm handling construction defect, work place injury, wrongful death, automobile, trucking, premise liability and fire loss cases. She also has worked for a large national firm where she assisted with e-discovery matters for a large-scale multi-million dollar litigation.  Before relocating to Seattle, Ms. Taddeo earned her J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law where she served as a Vice President of the Student Bar Association and was an active member of her law school’s trial advocacy team.  Ms. Taddeo is currently an active member of the board of directors of the South Lake Union Chamber of Commerce, where she helps connect people and organizations to help foster strategic relationships and opportunities.
