Mr. Mills is of counsel with Betts Patterson & Mines, P.S. where he practices in the Insurance Coverage Group. Before joining Betts Patterson, he practiced 18 years with two well-established Seattle insurance coverage and defense firms. He also worked five years as the Washington insurance coverage attorney for the Safeco Insurance Companies. His experience includes advising insurers on issues arising from commercial general liability, commercial property, commercial auto, homeowners, and personal auto policies. He has tried several cases to verdict in both coverage and defense contexts.

Personal
Mark and his wife Ellen live in northeast Seattle near his alma mater the University of Washington. Mark enjoys golf and is an incurable and un-recovered history buff. He has volunteered for over 20 years at the King County Bar Association’s Southeast Legal Clinic which provides advice to low income clients.
