Insurance Coverage Associate

We are seeking applicants for an associate attorney position in our insurance coverage group.  Applicants must be licensed in Washington, have completed at least six years civil practice, and have significant experience in insurance coverage and bad faith analysis and litigation.  Having the following experience will enhance a candidate’s chances for consideration:  admission to practice in OR, ID, MT or UT; experience in construction defect coverage issues; experience with responding to institutional discovery and related disputes; in litigating bad faith cases stemming from personal lines claims; or experience in defending directors and officers in suits against nonprofit corporations.  Interested candidates should send a cover letter, resume, self-edited writing sample, and list of references to our Human Resources Administrator at Betts-Employment@bpmlaw.com. 


Human Resources and Marketing Administrator

We are searching for a Human Resources and Marketing Administrator. This position plays a vital role in the administration of the firm working with the Director of Administration and IT Manager.

The main areas of responsibility for this dynamic position include:

Human Resources Administration

  • Employee record keeping
  • Benefits administration
  • Interviewing and orientation
  • HR policies and compliance
  • Employee counseling
  • Chief party organizer

Marketing Administration

  • Support firm-wide marketing activities
  • Assist individual attorneys with marketing
  • Website administration and continuous improvement

Legal Staff Management

  • Possible supervision of paralegals, legal assistants and other legal support staff as appropriate

Requirements

  • Experience:  Prior relevant experience (at least five years) in human resources and marketing, preferably in a law firm. Experience as a legal assistant, paralegal or executive assistant with the required skills may be substituted. Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Skills:  Proficient in MS Office. Experience with web administration and basic advertising layout desired. Must be an excellent communicator and wear multiple hats from day to day. Confidentiality a must. Able to focus on the details while also see the big picture. Must be extremely organized and able to work under multiple deadlines.
